14,000 Square Foot Was Only The Beginning
I was introduced to Theresa Fike as well as her diversified
talents in 1994 through Interior Designer, Marcia Rae. Theresa
took on the vast and to most people overwhelming project
of faux finishing and artistic painting our 14,000 square
foot dream home in Granite Bay. Little did she know when
she signed on for the project that she would be practically
living with us for the next two years. During that two year
period we got to know each other pretty well and I quickly
learned that Theresa is not only a talented artists and
faux painter, but her creativity and easy going personality
make her a pleasure to work with.
Since 1994 Theresa and now her equally talented son David
have worked with me on two additional homes. I continue
to be amazed at their willingness to listen to my ideas
(and tell me politely when they aren't that great) and by
their creativity and their talent.
In 2004 when Theresa called and wanted to "show me
something", I was blown away by the two canvases she
had painted. Knowing her talent and abilities, I guess I
shouldn't have been surprised but the depth and intensity
of her paintings took my breath away. I'm sure Theresa and
her protege David will be a success as they pursue Theresa's
life long dream of creating and selling her own pieces.
I wish them only the best in their endeavor.
